Event Details

Ages 12 & up. Join the author of the teen book "Dreamers Often Lie" for an amazing writing workshop!

As writers, we tell stories—but we can also show readers just what we want them to see, using language that creates images in readers’ minds. In this workshop, we’ll discuss some of the tools of descriptive writing, including sensory details, vivid word choice, and figurative language, and we’ll use those tools in a guessing game, in personal writing, and in original works of fiction Space is limited, and registration is required – register online or by calling the library beginning June 13th at 10:00am. Funded by Metropolitan Library Services Agency (MELSA).
