Monday April 24th 6 pm to 8 pm @ the Belle Plaine Library. *Open Mic for ages 12-112 *5 minutes per act *All genres welcome. Please show up at 6 pm sharp to sign up. Piano, acoustic guitar, and bongos will be available for use. *Art Exhibit for all ages *All mediums. Hands On! Art Exploration for Adults - SAORI Weaving - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

SAORI is a Japanese hand-weaving style that is not merely the act of weaving a piece of cloth; it is an attempt to identify our true selves.  Join instructor Chiaki O’Brien from COMPAS to learn this therapeutic free-style way of weaving.  Because this class builds upon skills learned in each previous class, registering for the first class will register you for all 4 classes in the series.  Please be sure that you can attend all four classes.  Funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, through the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA).

Registration is required, and space is limited. Teen Floral Corsage and Boutonniere Class-REGISTRATION REQUIRED, registration opens March 20th at 10 a.m.

Come design your own wrist corsage and boutonniere! An experienced florist will walk you through the basic steps and help you create a beautiful corsage and boutonniere unique to your style. By the end of the class each person will leave with a matching wrist corsage and boutonniere for prom. The cost is completely free! Registration is limited to 15 spots and registration opens on Monday March 20th at 10 a.m. Teens registering should be high school students.
