Follow Carol Rudie in her travels through the heart of Russia. Moscow and St Petersburg act as bookends to an exploration of the circle of ancient towns that predate the unification of the country under the tsars.Tiptoe through distinctive churches, follow rivers through forests to rustic village, apprecitate the art and architecture that makes this culture distinctive. In Excel Basics Part 2, you’ll learn more about working with Excel, including creating formulas, formatting and sorting data, and creating charts. Prerequisite: Excel Basics, Part 1. This class will be held at the Scott County Government Center (located at 200 Fourth Avenue, W., Shakopee) in the Professional Development Center (on the 2nd floor, next to the Community Relations Department).

Joe Kimball, formerly of the Star Tribune, is the author of
"Secrets of the Congdon Mansion," the bestselling chronicle of the
historic Congdon murders in Duluth. He will talk about the grisly Minnesota
murder. Joe will also talk about writing murder in fiction and non-fiction. Books will
be available to purchase. Kimball lives in White Bear Lake with his wife, a mystery
novelist and network television producer.

Cultural Heritage Fund.

"classes" more accurately reflects the learning and teaching that
happens in these classes.
Join Laura as she discusses how she got started as an author, the process she goes through to the reader's hands, and what would-be novelists can do today to get themselves started. She is currently working on a new Tea Shop Mystery due March 2019 as well as a new Scrapbooking Mystery due October 2019.
The Savage Writers is a group of writers who work together to support each other in their individual pursuits of writing. This is a Scott County Volunteer-run program. Contact the library for more information about the group or if interested in being connected with the leader of the Savage Writers.
