Book Explorers for ages 4-6 and their adult is a combination of book club and storytime! Each child and their grown-up read the selected title at home together, then come to the library to meet in a group and enjoy activities and discussion around the book!

During this hour-long “mini-camp” with Scott County Historical Society, you will get to try your hand at a variety of activities familiar to pioneer kids, including churning butter; practicing penmanship on a slate board; playing jacks, cat’s cradle, and other traditional games; and making a cornhusk kid to take home!
