Search for secret compartments, find hidden clues, and leverage your skills with your teammates to escape before the demogorgon discovers you. The clock is ticking and you only have ONE HOUR, so teamwork is essential! (Inspired by Stranger Things, but you don't have to be familiar with the show to succeed.)

NOTE: Please arrive on time for this program – latecomers may not be admitted.

Learn more about the 4-H Wildlife project at these pop-in events open to school age youth and their families. Youth will rotate through stations to explore Minnesota wildlife through track printing, animal ID, pelts, animal scat, wildlife craft, interactive game and test your knowledge with our 4-H Knowledge Bowl.

Escape from Pompeii, REGISTRATION REQ., BEGINS 6/12 AT 10:00AM

Best for ages 9-11. Enter the city of Pompeii in AD 79, Mount Vesuvius begins to rumble and the race to escape begins! You must search for secret compartments, find hidden clues, and solve puzzles to plot your escape before the lava flow takes over. The clock is ticking and time is limited, so teamwork is essential!
 
NOTE: Please arrive on time – latecomers may not be admitted. The event is based on the book “I survived the destruction of Pompeii, AD 79” by Lauren Tarshis, but you don't need to have read the book to enjoy this challenge. Space is limited, and registration is required – register online or by calling the library beginning 6/12 at 10:00am.

For teens ENTERING 9th grade and above. De-stress the test! Come to our free ACT test prep session at the library. Here's what you'll do in this session:

·         Take an ACT Pre-Test to find out what areas you need to work on.

·         Take a Practice Test in one area of the test and get an estimated ACT score in that area.

·         Get more FREE resources for working on those areas at home before the real ACT.

 

And we'll have snacks and goofy giveaways, just to make it fun and unstressy! Registration is required as space and supplies may be limited. Register online or by calling the library beginning [Month X]th at 10:00am. Funded by Metropolitan Library Services Agency (MELSA).
